Bills sign DE Aaron Schobel to five year extension

THe Buffalo Bills have announced they have signed DE Aaron Schobel to a five year extension Wednesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Yet it's believed the contract is worth approximately $23 million including a signing bonus of $6.75 million.

Aaron Schobel joined the Bills as a second-round pick in 2001 out of Texas Christian University. He's led the team in sacks in each of his first three seasons in the league. Schobel had a career best 11 1/2 sacks last season.

Schobel, 27, has started 16 games in each of the last two seasons. In 48 NFL career games, he has registered 197 tackles, 26 1/2 sacks and an interception.
