Bills entertain TE Marcellus Rivers

Posted Mar 10, 2005

The Buffalo Bills had TE Marcellus Rivers in town today.

Marcellus Rivers has spent the last four seasons with the NY Giants, where he has accumulated 27 catches for 227 yards and four touchdowns.

Rivers has been Jeremy Shockey's primary backup in NY and as a result used a lot on special teams. Last season he accumulated 12 tackles on special teams. If signed Rivers would provide good depth and give some the Bills some insurance with the status of Mark Campbell and Tim Euhus status still in the air because both had season ending knee injuries last season.

Rivers joined the NFL in as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State University.
