Bills Injuriy report

Chris Villarrial suffered a high ankle sprain and did not return against the Vikings. He is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. He will be further evaluated over the next two days.

Takeo Spikes did not play for a third straight game after injuring his hamstring early in the opener against New England. He did practice fully on Wednesday and Thursday but regressed on Friday and did not practice. He was listed as questionable. He may see some action against Chicago if his hamstring can recover from this week's practices. Matt Bowen is much improved with his shin injury suffered in the opening preseason game against Carolina but did not play against Minnesota. He may see some action in the coming weeks as he gets eased back into the lineup. He may face stiff competition to regain his starting slot, however. Rookie Ko Simpson has impressed coaches with his play to date.

Peerless Price was shaken up after running into Willis McGahee but he did return to score the game-winning touchdown Sunday.

Kiwaukee Thomas played against the Vikings despite being listed as questionable all week with a back injury.

Troy Vincent has been placed on "minor" injured reserve with his hamstring injury. It is thought he would heal in three or four weeks but the Bills decided to IR him instead since they are short on safeties. He has remained with the team to help coach rookie safeties Donte Whitner and Ko Simpson. Jim Leonhard was re-signed to take his roster spot.

Joe Burns is on season ending injured reserve with a forearm injury.
