RT Mike Williams (doubtful) – “Mike (hamstring) has been working very hard and will continue to progress, we’ll take it day by day throughout the week. We have him listed at doubtful. But don’t ever rule anybody out with how hard he’s been working on getting back. It’s been described to me as a significant strain.”
RB Shawn Bryson (out) – “Having a scope this morning (on his left knee). And tests show that he’s got a cartilage tear. So we’ll find out more about that this afternoon to hear how it went. He’ll be out this week. (He doesn’t have a ligament tear) that I know of. No (it’s not the kind of thing where he’ll have to be put on IR).”
FS Tony Driver (questionable) – “Has a quad strain, a hip and quad strain. He’ll be working, but he’ll be day to day. We’ll see how he’s doing here probably tomorrow and Friday with his practice time.”
TE/LS Dave Moore (questionable) – “Will practice today and we’ll see how he’s doing (with his broken left hand).”
Miami
Jay Fiedler (out) – thumb
S Trent Gamble (doubtful) – groin
LB Twan Russell (doubtful) – knee
WR Chris Chambers (questionable) – concussion
LT Mark Dixon (questionable) – ankle
WR Oronde Gadsden (questionable) – wrist
DE David Bowens (probable) – knee
LB Morlon Greenwood (probable) – quad
WR James McKnight (probable) – back
DE Jason Taylor (probable) – elbow
S Shawn Wooden (probable) – neck
Miami has the biggest injury concerns on offense. If Chris Chambers and Oronde Gadsden are out, that means more playing time for wide receivers Dedric Ward and James McKnight, who has a back injury and may not be 100 percent, and rookie tight end Randy McMichael. Of course, Miami is missing its starting quarterback Jay Fiedler to a broken thumb, putting Ray Lucas in the lineup. Defensively, weakside backer Morlon Greenwood is probable. He’s not as publicized as fellow linebacker Zach Thomas, but he’s very good.
