Buffalo signs another seventh-rounder and cuts a fullback.

Lineman Inked

The Bills locked up another seventh-round pick Tuesday – offensive tackle Demetrius Bell. He was the first of the Bills’ three seventh-round picks. Buffalo has already signed cornerback Kennard Cox.

Bell has a decent shot at landing a roster spot behind top tackles Jason Peters, Langston Walker and Kirk Chambers. With Peters’ holding out for a long-term contract, Bell may see increased reps at training camp.

"He's got the feet and he's got the hands," said offensive line coach Sean Kugler. "We've just got to get those hands and feet working together at the same time. That will come in time."

Said Bell, "When we go into the classroom on the board I feel good," said Bell. "Coach (Kugler) questioned us and quizzed us every day. He sits in front of the class and asks questions and I feel good that some of the answers are in my head. I feel good about them and I was learning more and more every day."

Kugler said that he sees fluid movement in Bell’s footwork and that the rookie has the potential to become a “solid player.”

The Bills’ other seventh-round pick, Steve Johnson, remains unsigned. Johnson of course was the passenger in Marshawn Lynch’s hit-and-run last month.

Viti Released

Offensive coordinator has vowed to reintroduce the fullback into Buffalo’s offense.

Just not this fullback.

The undrafted Viti from Army was released by the Bills. He didn’t see much action in minicamp with Darian Barnes and Jonathan Evans getting most snaps.
