The Buffalo Bills have signed WR Lee Evans to a four-year contract worth a reported $37.25 million.

The Buffalo Bills and WR Lee Evans have agreed on a long-awaited contract extension for the five-year veteran. The team and their number one wide out agreed to a four-year, $37.25 million deal with $18.25 million in guaranteed money.

The deal makes Evans the league’s fourth-highest paid receiver, behind Carolina’s Steve Smith, Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald and Indianapolis’ Marvin Harrison. Evans’ deal will have him making an average of $9.3 million per year.

Evans has been with the Bills since being drafted by the team in the first round of the 2004 draft. He has compiled 4,059 yards on 247 receptions and 30 touchdowns in the five-year span. After four complete seasons, Evans totaled more receptions, yards and touchdowns than any other receiver in the team’s history.
