The second-round pick talks about minicamp, working with Eric Wood and more...

On being a draft pick that the Bills had to move up for:

That obviously means a lot, that they traded two picks just to pick me up and I'm really going to work my tail off this weekend and hopefully earn a spot on the roster this year.

On jumping back into real football rather than workouts:

It's almost like I was working out and then kind of had a lot of down time, but I'm learning a whole new offense and I've got to put a lot more time and effort into making sure I understand what's going on out on the field with the new playbook, new terminology and whatnot. I'm feeling pretty comfortable with it right now and it should come along as time goes by.

On working with Eric Wood for the guard position:

Last night we actually sat down and we were going over the plays and stuff making sure that we were pretty clear on what we were going to be doing today. But we're getting along very well and I think the both of us are going to help contribute to this offensive line.

On having the opportunity to start:

I'm coming in to compete for a spot, and wherever my competition lands me, if I'm a starter that's great, but ultimately I want to be a starter for this team.
