Packers sign WR Love

The Packers signed undrafted free agent wide receiver Reggie Love Monday, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced.


Love, 22, was a two-sport athlete at Duke University.

He starting at least four games every season for the Blue Devils football team from 2000-2003. Love led the Blue Devils in receiving as a senior, catching 27 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns. In 40 career games, he tallied 895 yards on 75 receptions with six touchdowns.

Love (6-3, 228 pounds) was also a part of the Coach Mike Krzyzewski's 2001 NCAA Championship hoops squad. He made the team as a walk-on for two seasons (2000-01, 2001-02), playing forward and center as a backup for Carlos Boozer. In 37 career games, Love averaged 1.1 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.

Love will wear No. 10 on the Packers' roster.
