Acquired via trade at the beginning of the season, Gabriel moved immediately into contention for a starting role opposite WR Reche Caldwell. Gabriel appeared in 12 games for the Patriots with 5 starts. He fell out of favor with the coaching staff after the team’s week 10 loss to the Jets, and was eventually released December 12, 2006.

Originally drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft (167th overall). (2005) Played in 14 games in '05 managing career highs for passes caught (37), yards (554) and touchdowns (3). Emerged as a threat in the passing game after being primarily a kicker returner his first two seasons. (2004) Played in 16 games, starting 5.Caught 33 passes for 551 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Gabriel also returned 53 kickoffs for 1140 yards and also saw limited action in punt return duties. (2003) Almost exclusively a return specialist his rookie year, he managed just one pass for 17 yards. He returned 29 kickoffs for 646 yards and one touchdown. College: University of Central Florida Managed 97 receptions for 1,869 yards (19.3 avg) and 20 touchdowns in his career at UCF.
