RB Dominic Rhodes: Back still banged up by Tyler Dunne of BuffaloFootballReport.com, August 12, 2009 at 10:48pm ET
Dominic Rhodes Profile
Dominic Rhodes made some noise at Wednesday's practice, engaging in a scuffle with defensive end Chris Kelsay. The mini scuffle drew multiple players from both sides and the loudest cheer of the day from fans at St. John Fisher.
But more importantly, it sounds like Rhodes' bum knee may still be an issue. Buffalo's new running back was a no-go against Tennessee and signs point to possibly more of the same this weekend against the Chicago Bears.
"It's still bothering me a little bit, but it's nothing," Rhodes said. "I'm going to work through whatever I've got to work through. It's just something that was kind of bothering me a little bit earlier in the summer, and it's just something that I know I've got to work through and eventually it will go away again and I'll be back jumping around like I was earlier in practice."
Rhodes practiced Wednesday, but the team may take it easy with Rhodes' knee. With Marshawn Lynch out for three games to open the season, the Bills will need a healthy Rhodes paired with Fred Jackson.
