S Ko Simpson: Safety traded to Lions by Tyler Dunne of BuffaloFootballReport.com, September 4, 2009 at 5:33pm ET
Ko Simpson Profile
The Buffalo Bills have traded safety Ko Simpson to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed 2012 draft pick, the Lions announced today.
Simpson didn't figure into Buffalo's plans this season with the team drafting Jairus Byrd in the second round. Last season, he was inconsistent at free safety with 64 tackles and few big plays. After the season, he had a messy run-in with the cops, which surely didn't help his cause.
Currently, Bryan Scott and Donte Whitner are pegged as Buffalo's starting safety tandem.
